If you are trying to sell a product and you can’t get anybody to buy it, then there’s often a simple reason to that.
The only people who buy your stuff did already want it in the first place.
You can’t talk people into thinking that your product is good for them - the only ones who buy, already thought that in the first place.
If you can’t sell, that just means that nobody feels good about your product. And that often happens when :
- You have a great idea.
- You make a product out of it.
- You put great features inside it.
- You try to sell people on these features, as in “hey, my hosting offer is wordpress-based ! that’s really cool”.
That’s completely backwards.
The other way - the one that sells - is simply :
- You find people who want help.
- You think about how you could provide a solution to help them.
- You make a product out of these benefits.
- You also make a sales page out of these benefits, as in “It’s really important, if you are new to Internet marketing, that you use a proved, simple solution to build your website. You don’t want to spend two weeks figuring out how to put up a page right ? That would never happen with my hosting offer, because i provide you with the most simple, straight-forward tool ever. it’s called wordpress.”
That mindset is light-years away from the other one. And… you won’t be staring for weeks at an empty Paypal account if you do that.

Ps : I would recommend this great article about how to focus on benefits, from Brian Clark. That guy’s awesome.
